Why JaguarPC?
The bottom line is because we truly care! We have been in this industry since 1998 and know we owe that all to our loyal clients. We put the client first in everything we do from tightly controlled and monitored machines to overall network performance. We welcome any request for tours of our operation and encourage the locals to meet the staff. We don't sell the cheapest services on the market, we sell the best! Please take this opportunity to join the family here at JaguarPC.

Performance is a must! - Datacenter
Our servers are here in Houston in a Class A data center just off the Southwest Freeway. We boast connections to multiple major backbone providers connected via multiple Gig-E, OC3 and DS-3 lines. Our enterprise datacenter is connected to network carriers such as AT&T, Level3, Williams, YIPES (Level3 and Genuity),
and Global Crossing. There are two fiber paths for each connection, both aerial and under ground to protect against accidental cuts from local construction.

We don't stop at bandwidth, without power you won't have any bandwidth. Our power is provided over mutilpe paths and circuits to feed each machine a redundant ongoing power supply via power switching equipment. Each power grid is backed up by its own set of generators and backup power batteries.

All that power needs a way to escape. We take cooling very seriously here at JaguarPC. Each machine has to pass a rigorous cooling test before being placed in a cabinet. Each cabinet is cooled with forced air through the bottom, pushed through vented doors and pulled out of the top of the cabinet via a series of exhaust fans.

People to back it up! - Managed services
Our number one asset here at JaguarPC is without doubt our very skilled and gifted team members. Our overqualified staff will be onsite 24/7 to provide you with any assistance you will ever need. We will cover every aspect of support for your vps from setup to repairs. You break it, we fix it!

[b]
We will :
- provide the initial setup and secure services
- provide upgrades to your OS including security patches
- provide free remote hands for troubleshooting
- provide free monitoring of your vps 24/7 and provide reports
- provide free hardware replacement
- provide a customized firewall
- just about anything you need done serverwide

* - Must mail receipts of current provider to greg AT jaguarpc.com to receive the 2nd free month
** - Can be used for backups or whatever you choose. There is no apache webserver installed to this device.

FAQ:
We do not allow IRC services.
We do allow legal adult content.
No spam, you will be shut down.

Can I change the OS if necessary?

Jag
09-19-2005, 04:41 PM
You mean if you signup with one OS and decide later to move to another? Yes but it would mean whiping out the old install.

Jag
09-20-2005, 10:07 AM
I forgot to add that in there. Til the end of this month. Oct1 it will no longer be valid.

When did you change your policies on Adult Content? I was interested in signing up with you about 4 weeks ago and I was told you didn't allow ANY adult content.

Jag
09-20-2005, 11:23 AM
We have always alloed adult content in our network, but not on our shared servers. If one of our reps didnt know you were asking about vps, dedicateds, or colo then they probably gave you a reply to the question we get most often which is regarding shared accounts adult content.

Checking my email, even though I specifically asked if adult content was allowed on a VPS, the question was answered for your shared services. If you want information on who replied incorrectly to my question, you can PM me.

just a thing
you say:
** - Can be used for backups or whatever you choose. There is no apache webserver installed to this device.
the 10 gb data is not backed up in other HD or other server?
i ll need to backup all my data from my own?
regards

Jag

The extra 10gb storage data included with the apollo plan is not on the same server as your vps, its nas storage. You will need to control your own backups. You can use that extra offserver ftp backup service to perform backups. We also provide the virtuozzo backup service in your VZ which does not use your space or the extra ftp space we provide.

However, after this ad here the extra ftp storage will no longer be offered for vps and you will be able to only use the virtuozzo backup service which will still be an extra 10gig of backup space.

Hope that made sense :erm:

the VZ backup storage IS NOT in the 15gb storage that i can put all websites, is correct?
the OS and CP use this 15 gb storage?
my question is if 15gb is all in sites...
hihihi

Jag

In that plan you will have 15gb of usable vps space for your os, sites, etc. The vz backup and ftp storage is NOT part of that 15gb for your vps.

Thanks for your business and decision. To head off some potential "I didnt get any answer" type of posts please note:

Most of my staffs homes, including my own, are in the path of the incoming hurricane Rita. The sales office will be closed until monday effective as of today to give everyone adequate time to get their families to safety.

Potential vps clients should considering waiting until next week to signup becuase there will be large delays in sales for the next few days and over the weekend.

No I dont have uptime stats for you. I assume you are referring to the host machines stats and not that of a test vps or something. We have many many vps servers and depending how fast orders come in on a given day determines what server you end up on. In many cases thats a brandnew server and so uptime would show you nothing important. If you are referring to network uptime i beleive we are at 100% so far this year. There was one routing problem earluier in the year that affected some clients on a certain link but that was very short and isolated to a few clients.

Yes you can get more ips and of course on your vps you are free to establish private name servers. Were you referring to something else when you asked about private name servers?

We would like to thank all our existing and potential clients for their support during the recent events with hurricane Rita. Some of our staff members have returned to the Houston area but are still without power.

We do anticipate full sales operations by Monday morning as previously announced. In the meantime a temporary shift has begun working on sales queue. We ask that everyone please allow a little extra time for responses as we work on catching up and thank you again for your patience.

Some of you have recently asked what are the stats of these machines we use for vps. They are dual-core dual opteron 246 or greater with at least 8gig registered ECC ram, and Raid 10 disk arrays. They are connected with dual power dual gig-e nics to 100mb ports (1000 where needed) .

aug 99,96%
set 100%
i was searching men,
i have a reseller now, will can i manage a VPS?
or you suggest to me open a reseller account?
what ll be better?
i ll open a little host!

Jag
09-26-2005, 12:22 AM
If you have a reseller account now and feel comfortable with it, dont have a direct need to root around your server, then Id say stick with what works for you now and use a reseller account. Im sure you have your own reasons so when the time comes to go vps, yes you will be able to manage it fine with us.

There is also no problem starting with a reseller account and later moving to a vps. Network uptime has been 100% but individual server uptimes will vary although most if not all will be at 100% as well. One vps machine had some problems the dropped uptime a bit on that one machine back in late July but obviously thats been a while so its not used for new accounts and that problem was resolved.

Flipe.NET
09-26-2005, 11:28 AM
but i wanna learn a little bit about servers...
somethings like speed, resorces usages, is better in a vps that a reseller right?
like the servers, they are much better in vps accounts?
hahahaha, im like to resolve all doubts about, sorry if i am noisi!

Jag
09-26-2005, 11:32 AM
Things like speed and resources are all relative. I have no way of knowing what your clients use in terms of memory, cpu, disk space, etc or comparing how they perform on a reseller plan vs a vps. The only thing I can say for certain is a vps is a more protected environment in that others on the machine cant bring you down if they have some run away users or processes.
