Hi Guys, i am trying to get my hands on a webmail package, i want to offer it to my users so that they can not only check email from their accounts on my servers but also any email accounts they may have, similar to the service offered by www.mail2web.com

commercial or non-commercial is fine, i have been looking around and have only come across packages that will check mail etc only on the server that its installed on.

Cheers

I simply love neomail for it's stability and it's bugless in my eyes... openwebmail is awesome - But I see a lot of bugs - I cant wait until they iron them all out.

thanx for the reply guys, but all the packages you have mentioned seem to only be geared to work with local email accounts

Hi FocusOn718, why you see a lot of bugs of openwebmail? Did you try it?

I am using neomail and I found it's easy to install and use.

Did anyone try openwebmail? This is cool becsue it's based on neomail to develop.

Various stupid bugs that are almost all fixed - I can't think of them off the top of my head but it's a great program and don't be afraid to use it - But for REAL power users.. Using it like crazy with a lot of e-mail, etc... I've seen some bugs.. Stupid bugs :)

But, they're being fixed all the time and it's a great program and I can tell it's going to stay a great program.

Good luck :)

Yes, I think so.

Becasue I am using using neomail and you might know this is no longer update. So I plan to change to openwebmail. I just afraid that if it got too many bugs, I won't change it.

I will give it a try and see if it's a good mail applicatoin. Thanks.

instant web mail is great, it works straight out of the box, however, the damn thing is not very customisable it uses style sheets and i have just about zero clue on how to give it a look and feel that i want, what the best way of edidting style sheets anyway, i have tried a few progs buts they are not WYSIWYG....i wish he had used html templates instead , has anyone managed to change its look outside of the themes that are provided?

The SuSe mail server is pretty cool. If you don't mind outsourcing
look at Critical Path.

I just installed openwebmail. Actually, I should say I install both neomail and openwebmail today. But I use neomail first and I am so regert to it. Becasue I stored all my message under neomail folder and it seems that there is no utilities to convert to openwebmail.

Openwebmail is rock, it's more features rich than neomail. I think if you love neomail, you will sure love openwebmail too. But make sure you know how to convert from neomail to openwebmail before you change or you should just go straight to openwebmail :stickout
