100megs is in need of a on-site Datacenter Tech for our location inside of the Data393 facility in Englewood Colorado (DTC).

This is an on-site position only. The position is full time and will be hourly with pay based upon experience. Some training will be provided by on-site senior staff. This is an excellent position for educated/knowledgeable career minded individuals who would like more hands-on experience.

Applicants must be experienced with the following:

Linux OS (Red Hat - Installation, configuration, networking, etc).
--> We are a 100% Linux web host and as such the applicant must be comfortable with the OS (managed via shell).

cPanel hosting control panel (troubleshoot, configure and support).

--> We use cPanel as our control panel so applicant must be experienced with it (from both a user and admin standpoint).

--> Apache (troubleshoot, Configure, SSL, etc)

--> Bind/DNS (good understanding of, configure, etc)

--> MySQL (configure, troubleshooting, etc)

Intel-based Hardware (maintain, repair, troubleshoot, configure with Linux, etc)

--> Knowledge of types of RAM, CPU technologies (FSB, HT, Socket types), Hard drive technologies (SCSI, SATA, PATA).

Ethernet Networking

--> Basic understanding of Ethernet (understanding MAC address, IP's, etc)


Primary duties will include:

--> being the on-site eyes and ears for our remote staff and management.

--> Performing minor repairs on server hardware (adding RAM, switching drives to a new machine, replacing dead fans or heatsinks, etc)

--> Performing server reloads (following outlined procedures in reloading a server - installing Linux, installing cpanel, running an rsync script to copy data from one drive to another, rolling out newly reloaded drives and server). -- training will be provided if needed.

--> Assist senior staff and owner in troubleshooting network and security issues and/or notifying senior staff of an occurring issue.

--> Working in our ticket based help desk providing customer service support (part of the time datacenter tech - part of the time help-desk).

**Experience with web development technology (PHP, Perl, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc) is a plus.


Applicants for this position must have a fairly flexible schedule being able to stay late if needed and willing to be on-call part of the week during normal off hours. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, a US citizen, have a high-school diploma and a valid drivers license. As mentioned this is an on-site position, as such the applicant should live in the Denver, CO area or nearby.
