Xoom.com doesnt allow intra-country money transfer except the US. Their reason is to thwart frauds in countries like the Philippines, India etc. If they detect that the sender and the receiver is located in the same country, they will suspect that it's fraud. What if the sender is using other people's credit card or Paypal and send the money to a recipient that is also the sender. I understand Xoom's good intention, but it's just weird, unfair, and ironic. Paypal phishing and other scam emails originates mostly in the US.

I hope Xoom becomes enlightened of how stupid this policy is.

Well, you have to consider that they are doing it to protect the people from frauds at large. :)

Yeah, frauds at large are in the US. :)

Well, Xoom is a US-based company. They can do what they think is best for them. I dont have the power to change that, only God can.
