View Full Version : AWBS Account Don't Work

Hi experts,

I need some help about AWBS. The problem is, that when new user registers, places his order, pays his money and receives an invoice, account is not created on server for him. The job is visible on queue forever, even is master cron is configured to be started every minute.

After opening support ticket in AWBS website, I got an answer that everything is ok, because I need to run this job MYSELF. Is it true? And if yes, why do they claim AWBS is automated solution? There is no automation if I need to monitor my email 24/7 looking for new signups and setup their accounts manually.

I want to make this: User registers for account, his account is activated immediately, he chooses hosting package and pays money, receives his invoice (everything is ok up to this part) and AWBS create an account on server automatically for this user, while I'm far away from my computer (account is not created now).

Is it possible at all? Ir I was just an idiot who wasted his money after reading that AWBS creates accounts automatically? :bawling:

I have no idea how to fix your issue (I'm sure it can be fixed, since AWBS does support account auto-creation). However...

I had a very bad experience with AWBS. It looks great when you look at the feature list, however:

1). You have to follow their template structure for your site, which is very limiting.

2). The software is full of bugs.

3). The response time from support to tickets is awful. You get about one response to your ticket per DAY.

They also don't give refunds. I had to file a complaint with Paypal.

I moved to whois.cart for a simple solution and I'm happy with it.

I second that motion. Ordering doesn't work half the time. You have to go chasing the new customer for their credit card number. Ordering sent through 2checkout doesn't work either. Support is pretty much non existent. You put in a request and get one answer or less a day, the answer is composed from a passing glance at your question and no investigation into the problem. AWBS developer has ABSOLUTELY no interest in supporting the product. The support forum on the site has one category - "Pre Sales". The documentation is a joke. I could go on but anyone thinking of using this product should be warned. It will not work and support will not fix it.

I'm only replying because I'm using AWBS, I do not work for them but hopefully I can shed a bit of light on things.

For auto creation, check your system option. Is 'Activate new hosting packages immediately' set to true or false? I have mine set to false so I can screen each order before it is created. This sounds like what you have set on your system.

The template is a bit confusing at first, but with a bit of time and tinkering it does work. I just had help from a designer who was familar with the system, it's not all that difficult once you get the hang of things. I think our site came out rather well with our attempt to integrate into the 'faulty' template.

Their support is not the quickest in the world, but they do provide answers during their business hours. I really have no complaints as I've received a satisfactory answer each time.

In regards to their forums, you need to have an account to see the entire forum. There's more there than just 'Pre-sales'...

If anyone has any other questions, I'll try to answer them. I've tested the system for over a month with daily test transactions before going live. I think I've gone through most settings and whatnot :)

Yes, options for instant activation were set as True. I re-installed AWBS for 3rd time and it started to work. Other guy had the same problem, only clean re-install helpt to solve it.

I am angry because AWBS don't respect their customers at all. For example, today we have discussed about some bugs on AWBS and I wrote something like this: "I'd like to get a little bit of support cause I pay money". You know what? Admins deleted the whole thread.

I'm registered on the forum and only see Pre-Sales & News. I see now if you read through the threads in news you find out you must send them an email with your username to gain further access. Just registering isn't good enough, it has to have that typical "AWBS" 1-2 day wait from them too. Sounds like BS to me.

I have a live system with a ton of bugs. Been going back and forth since the 9th just trying to get the most important bug of all fixed. The one about not saving card information. The last reply from them was two days ago saying something like "well it should work, I'll take a look at it". If it takes 6 days for just one of the many bugs to be looked at (but not fixed) , how long does it take to get them all looked at?

It would be a great script for someone offering free hosting and domain names cause it takes the card info and makes it disappear. Its a great credit card number deleter :)

Yes, you must ask for full access to the forums.

Once you are approved, here is LOTS of stuff to read and download ;)

*shrug* I was activated on the forums when I got my AWBS license.

page-zone - Did the AWBS guys ask for you login info so they can take a look at your install?

We are using AWBS on one of our sites since may 2005
So far no major problems.
We are using AWBS with 2Co and with a custom cc processor.
I do agree that the template system is idiot, but, with a bit of luck we found someone who is specialised in AWBS templates and he made a damn nice job.
Support takes up to 48 hours to reply sometimes, other than that is ok.
And btw,we are not using "Instant Activation" due to security resons.IMHO that feature is a magnet for abuse

@GideonX
Seems that we found the same guy for the AWBS template.I kinda know that design,i was 1 min behind you

Hi Webfactor,

May I trouble you with few guestions, please?

1. Did you create another product in 2CO for selling domains? AWBS Team told me I don't need to do it, cause AWBS takes money for domain from 2CO automatically somehow.

2. Do you sell recurring additional packages on AWBS through 2CO as well?

Thank you for prompt answers. Is everything ok with recurring additional packages?

I'm asking, because I found there is the only field in additional packages for 2CO product ID, and it's called "NOT recurring product ID", but there is a checkbox called "recurring", do you simply enter recurring product ID into that field?

And did you see that when you click Edit Additinal Package, Product ID field becomes blank? After contacting AWBS I was assured it will be fixed. So I just don't know if payments still work while there is a bug in system...
