Opinions?

It seems there was a terrible time 2001 with server problems. That
eventually got straightened out it seems.Nice friendly place.---then it seems to have been bought out...

#1-promise was made to grandfather all old accounts.(rate-size,etc.)

Now everbody is told they need to change to a new server.

When set up on new server the accounts are re-issued as if you just drove in. (i.e. your 300mb at $60 now 100mb at $100) File a support ticket and support 'can't understand you'.

It seems all new sign-ups will not get an email reply. That was turned off.(account contract evidence?)

The support forum has turned into a place where somebody is scared to say anything.--it exists but your supposed to make out a 'support ticket'.(which normally can't be understood)

I see some posting about the 'grandfathering' of recent..no reply. One person got jumped on nastily by management for putting that question in support forums.

If you bought multiple accounts as many? do they are now lumped with one email address whether you like it or not.(almost like a free host..one per person!!!)

Is it normal to sell contracts for 100mb at a certain price and change that under clause...new ownership? Promise grandfathering...nothing....

I see this

I don't wish to see any host go under but sometimes I feel if a place does not have the resources why take peoples money in the first place?

Also..double-talk and false promises?

Not to change the subject but I was going to go with Aletia...see recent threads?

Theres gotta be an economy place out there that can survive and be reliable?? I'm about ready to buy more accounts at
http://www.worldzonepro.com/ At least they are still ticking.(no
affiliation)

o...opinions question ??? The double-talk and 'can't understand' and account plan changes in midst of contract period?

hostexp...your still around !!!!!

Despite the problems when you had the place its hard to say so but I enjoyed the place !!!!!

As noted...the new ownership...well...your sort of scared to say anything. Nasty responses to people in support board...say wrong thing...what happens?

I do not think its too much to ask if a place promises things like grandfathering to honor promise? If you had a certain plan when you ran the operation now that has been SHRUNK? (during the contract period)

I've gotten a pile of emails from old account holders asking about the old accounts because everybody like me is scared to open their mouth.(or gets nowhere by doing so)

Support is now 'ollie'....seems a nice person but a teenager? (business experience?)

I guess all hosts go through bad times.

I only posted wondering about other vh account holders. You can't communicate in support forums.

I know it does not help to put out negatives about any place----but if positives follow?

I right now am in middle of signing up for worldzonepro....I hesitate about their future but I'm up for renewal at vh and ?????

----but shame on you hostexp(joking)....you led us on and.....

So excuse my post....its renewal time for me at vh and just trying to digest things for my great decisions....---and getting last input before I quit vh.....

Nice people at vh now?? Interesting thing about customers and the management....sometimes or often one never knows if they are nice or ? (hmmm..I'm a nice person)

I am not sure who you are, but I am more than happy to address your concerns here.

The reason we prefer people not posting account problems, relating especially to billing, which is true I think in your case, is for your own privacy. We prefer that our account holders not post personal information on the forums, it is for your own safety. We have had our clients, post domain name, username and passwords on the forums! We certainly don't want our clients accounts compromised!

Regarding confirmation e-mails. It isn't for new account sign-ups, if you read the post it is for the support ticket system. We use perl desk, like many here do. Some members were having problems receiving those e-mails. Since they had not received e-mails and therefore couldn't open a support ticket. We made it EASIER for them to contact us, they can now immediately post a support problem, without having to wait!

I hope everyone here takes a look at our support forums and the great feedback we get about them. We are very open with our customers and it is very much appreciated by them.

Well let's talk about Ollie. He is hardly a teenager, and well he is part owner in the company! He had been working more on our smartbackups and ispoutsource groups. However with the insane growth of Valuablehost and the sudden loss of Carin, we had to bring him over.

We have had some crappy problems with the last server outside of our network. Earlier last month, we opened our new data center, we have transferred well over 5000 domains over to it with out problem. However, we have the last original valuablehost server that came with valuablehost when we bought it. We have been working around the clock to contact site owners to move their sites in to our network.

Well I really hope I answered most of your questions, and I am willing to discuss more issues with you. Certainly it was quite upsetting that you feel that we jump on our users, I think if everyone looks at our forums, that they will see how nice we really are.
