Hi ,

I'm looking for a cheap or even better,....FREE shopping cart. I already have a website and needed a cart which would alow me to generate add cart buttons and then link up with their checkout page etc.. I guess how paypal cart works.(though I don't want to use paypal cart) :) I had a look at oscommerce cart and this seems to be a shop template which is not what I want as I already have my own website. Any suggestions??.....

Have you looked at PHPCoin? I haven't looked at whether you can just use the add to cart buttons or not, but it is available in Fantastico most of the time. Might be worth a look.

Hi,

Thanks for that, I've just emailed them to see if its poss. Would like to see some examples of other sites that use this. If any one has any other suggestions to my original post it would be much appreciated...

Yeah I did have a look at these but again they are template based and I didn't want to build my website into a template. I just want to add the "add to cart buttons" to my own website.

You can try remote hosted carts like Securenetshop cart (securenetshop.com) and/or Roman cart (romancart.com). If you have large number of products Securenetshop cart is easyer for maintenance. I'm using it for more than two years now and have not serious complaints. Their service is very reliable. If you have a small number of products Roman cart is probably better/cheaper solution.

If you are looking for remotely hosted cart, there is no licence fee - you pay for their service monthly or quarterly or yearly, just like for web hosting. As I know there is no really free and really useful remotely hosted cart on the market. If you find something, please let us know.

i just got an email from digishop that they recently upgraded to 3.1.3. They added features like downloadable products, quantity discounts and some others.

I'd recommend Mal's E-commerce for you.
www.mals-e.com.

It's free, and even the full service is only $6.00 per month. It will allow you to add buttons to your site with just a simple html link or form post.

It's not as robust as osC, Zen etc, but from what I gather, it's what you're looking for.

Yes, Mal's cart is another reliable solution... Anyway, regardless of the price, it all depends what you really expect from the cart and how many products you have.
