I did a bit of research on them and it seems most people just get leads where people just ask for free hosting :(

We tried it once. Spent $100.00 getting useless leads and it was used up in a day or two. Won't be using their service again.

We tried them a while back, got a lot of useless leads as well. Most users either want free hosting, or ridiculous amount of disk space and bandwidth for a very low budget. It's a waste of money, I would not recommend using them.

I started using HostVoice.com today and I have got a few leads, but nothing has came of it. I went thru and requested a quote, and they sent my information to about 5-6 different hosting providers. So from one submission they charge all the host the lead fee. They collect multiple fees from each submission.

It is just like any other sales lead service where they supply the leads and it is up to you to close the deal with the potential client. It is more then just using a simple autoresponder to try and gain the customer because you need to stand apart from the rest of the hosting companies. You need to personalize each response and make sure that you mention in your email or phone call that you can handle their requests and needs.

I ran a $400.00 campaign with them a few months ago and at first I used the shared clients service and received mostly people looking for the sun and the moon for a buck or two a year. I cut that off quickly and focused on the ecommerce and reseller spots and received much more qualified leads. I received about 5 ecommerce clients and 2 resellers out of the whole campaign which wasn't to bad compared to the thousands that I have spent with other online ad campaigns. Those customers are still with me and so it turned out very well.

The bottom line is that you need to use the filter system to your advantage and also follow up with all your requests about a week afterwards. One of our clients came after we followed up with them and we caught them while their present hosting company was having a serious issue and their server was down for about 9 hours....Timing is everything right:)

Since it is fairly inexpensive to try the service, I say give it a chance and see how you do.
