JOB BASICS
We are seeking a customer service pro with strong system admin skills. We want a creative, professional problem-solver to help us maintain and build strong customer relations through service and operational support. This position directly interfaces with external clients and is highly visible. The position requires technical professionals specializing in web hosting server administration and management.
The candidate must have solid systems administrative/executive ability and familiarity with various versions of Linux and Windows web hosting configurations. Specific familiarity with hosting control panels Cpanel& HSphere is best. Plesk/Ensim/Cobalt experience a huge plus. Our back-end windows tools were developed in-house in ColdFusion, so CF skills are also a huge plus.
Responsibilities include:
+ Participating in technical service calls and assisting with communications via phone, email, tickets & chat.
+ Handling customers on support and business matters.
+ Managing customer communications and restoring service on outage conditions.
+ Participate in a 24/7 'on-call' emergency paging schedule to address server alarms.
+ Network/Client/Server migration and upgrade management.
+ Planning, organizing and executing network and customer service projects.
+ Manage communication flow and ticket escalation with remote and in-house associates.
+ Report directly to owner w/ ongoing updates and status reports.
Requirements:
+ 5+ years of professional web hosting industry experience.
+ Solid understanding of web hosting servers and technical operation (IIS, DNS, apache, ftp, mail, etc.)
+ Skilled with Linux command prompt and Windows configurations.
+ Enthusiasm for building and maintaining customer relationships a must.
+ Excellent References.
+ Ability to work well both within our small team and independently.
+ Ability to work flexible/extended hours when necessary.
+ Pass background check.
