View Full Version : Can I use a BlackBerry for wireless credit card processing?

I need to get a wireless device for processing credit cards wirelessly, and I have seen many PDA's that have this feature. I havn't been able to find someone who supports the BlackBerry. I would need a card reader along with a printer.

If anyone knows of this, please reply. Thank you!

The Apriva M500 is a card swiper built into a 850/950 RIM BlackBerry. I think there is a printer that goes with it, but you also might consider getting an old-fashion "knuckle-buster" for receipts (definitely cheaper, might be smaller).

I'd definitely recommend the Comstar Wireless solution. Usually it comes as a bundled solution with both the Blackberry and the mag stripe reader.

It works very smoothly, processes transactions very quickly and has a lot of great value-added technologies that let you easily generate reports, view activity and manage your processing.
