I was looking around, and saw an ad for http://www.zervex.com/ There control panel looks very nice, and much much more affordable than cPanel, yet it has all the same features mostly, except much more accessable and easier to use, and I personally think it would be better for the end user and the reseller.

What are your thoughts?

actually that does look really good, I like the layout. I would like to see the user demo but it appears the password is not working. The other reseller and admin page looks really nice

I was actually able to login into all of them. Be sure to use "enduserc" for the user name and "enduser" as the password.

The layout looks much more professional than cPanel, and easier to brand.

there we go, I am in...for some reason it wasnt letting me a minute ago. I copied and pasted info both times. Currently I use hsphere and I am pretty happy with it. Only thing that really bugs me with hsphere is the billing system, I like it but the rest of the things I sell have to go through modernbill so now I have 2 billing progs to deal with.

Honestly, I rather use cPanel. And as said above somewhere, the layout doesn't really look nicer than cPanel. cPanel's is eyecathing this one makes me not want to look anylonger.

Very nice product at very low price. Layout is easy to mod to match with your site design. Only one thing left to know is stability of the software in live environment.

Features wise i give it 10
Price wise another 10

I would like to hear about anyone using it and I am surprised I had not heard about this software before, seems to be a really nice product and it appears to have been around for at least a little while. I am tempted to get a dedicated to play around with it to see what it is like and if it works out I may offer it to my dedicated customers as an alternative to plesk or cpanel

I have used it several times. Its a pretty nice panel in my opinion.

I personally would also like to use it, but ModernBill is not compatable with it, nor is any of the other billing managers.

Well i don't think it will problem to interface with it once we decide to use it. But before i move to zervex i would like to seehow labrats react to it first

Looks decent, but the tables with all the info can use a little tidying up. For example, the mysql page.

My problem is it is not a very known produt, I myself does not take chances.

even cpanel or plesk or hsphere had to have their first order!

You don't like it because the default design isn't flashy? Not a good reason to base your decision on...

i think for the benifit of customers and helping the little guyes out it's always worth a try with new software.

You know, even though it may not be 'flashy', I still like the interface, as it's still professional looking.

well said netway. It would appear to me that the interface would be very easy to customize and integrate as well. For $10 its surely worth a shot!

I didn't say i didn't like it because the design was not good, I was just making a point that It was not better than cPanel, and I said I could not look anylonger not because it is bad just I do not enjoy the design, but that doesn't mean I don't like the software it is. But once It becomes more known I may take chances, there support may not be as good as cPanel either, you need to check these things before assuming it's a great control panel.

That panel has been around for several years, I used it up until sometime in 2003.
My customers loved it and the ease of upgrades and the way it almost sits on top of the underlying system without too much interference was great.

However the company let me down big time with a half finished migration that caused horrendous problems for my customers - there is no second chance in this game and I moved to Cpanel.

Overall the panel is robust and has most of the features clients need and quite a few of what they want as well - I would recommend the panel to anyone with the rider that it is best to check out the company and service agreements as well.

From an end users point of view the skin is too busy and not very well laid out.

Icon based skins like X are a lot easier for newbies to navigate...

comparing it to cpanel however can be based just on the look of the skins...

you need ot make sure it does what you want it to do on all levels, is easy to admin both at root and reseller level, is well supported and updated
