Hello,

Iam looking at starting my web hosting company. However I am trying to find some recent staock photos of servers. Iam aware that Corbis and Photo Disc have stock. But I have checked all of them out and they are out of date. Iam mainly after like cobalt servers or computer cases ( that are dark blue). Not a standard computer tower, but a server Tower. There are alot of web hosts out there with the type Iam meaning. Iam very sure that They didn't receive them from Corbis or Photo Disc. I went through all stock!

Any feedback would be helpful

Some snag them from cobalt. You may want to try contacting them and seeing what they can provide (more honest method).

heh, so you wanna lie to people and show them how their servers will look if they host with you?

Uhmm. Thanks for your reply. Somehow I find you making judegement on my post without knowing the full details.. Iam actually wanting to use server towers on the upper banner bar for stock images. Iam not going to post a page stating to a client that 'these' are your servers!

Thanks to the "other" constructive commments

I am only going to say this, because I can... but, please don't use a picture of a Sun, Alpha, or SGI if you aren't using that brand of hardware. Many times in the past I've seen hosts with pictures of Sun equipment when the actually use off-the-shelf Intel servers.

So does anyone actually know where I can find some Intel server photos?

Grab the digital camera, put a White sheet on a table and prop it up for the backdrop and snap the picture.. Atleast that's what I would do. Heck open it up and show people the insides that's what counts anyways dun matter what the outside looks like, People are more interested in seeing the insides. Hell I could buy a brand new 2U Rack that looks all pretty and put like 5 year old outdated equiptment in it..

Another good source for stock photos is Corel Studio. Go to http://shop.corel.com and click on the Corel Studio banner. I don't know if they have what you want, but they're one of my regular sources.

I went to altavista (some great photos) but surely you can't just use them as they belong to someone else.

Could you explain a little more or am I missing something.

those dark blue servers you're talking about are generally sun machines at http://www.sun.com ... you might want to email them asking for photos to use

http://www.photostogo.com has the exact pic you want urch! And much better price than the 600$ laughable licensing from corbis and some others.
