It looks like they are ISO's for Bridgeview Bank & Trust and agents for USMS Merchant Services. They basically to appear to be offering a free Authorize.Net setup - which is becoming increasingly common these days from a lot of merchant providers. (and which definitely is better than paying a setup fee!) A few things that you will want to ask about - of them or any other merchant provider you are considering - are: 1. Are there any Monthly Minimums? Most processors have a $25 minimum. 2. Are there any Annual Fees? 3. Are there any Early Termination Fees? This is an area that is often hidden in the fine print but VERY important to know about as it can "lock you in" to a long term agreement with a cost if you ever change service or cancel for any reason. 4. Are there any AVS or Interchange "pass through" fees? 5. What is the Chargeback & Retrieval cost? 6. What are the Mid-Qualified and Non-Qualified downgrade fees and on what types of transactions do you they specifically apply? (this is another HUGE area to investigate) 7. Are there any other per trans, monthly, annual or other ancillary costs that may apply? 8. Is there any kind of online detailed reporting provided to reconcile payments? 9. Is there any kind of true transaction-level fraud scrubbing included? (beyond AVS & CVV which is standard for all) 10. How are risk issues resolved and how are merchant change requests handled? (i.e. timetables, cost, process) Best of luck with your search! :) |
