Folks,
I am looking for places (in addition to this forum), where I can post special offers for my hosting services and resellers opportunities.
The idea is to do this at a minimal expense, or no expense - I am not talking advertising on google and such.
Any ideas where web designers, system integrators, anyone else looking for premium hosting (i.e. not lowest cost hosting) congregate - bulletin board, newsgroups, listservs, etc.?
Thanks for your help.

Try http://Sitepointforums.com and http://forums.webhostdir.com. Both are free to post in, the only requirement is a simple signup just like here.

Tommy,
I think Sitepoint requires you to post 25 times before you can advertise in their forum.

Oops, it's been a long long time since I've been posting there and in any case I think I have more then the minimum posts required.
Thanks for the heads up :)

Guys,
Thanks for the advice. Both sites look great. Having to post 25 times before you can get free advertising rights seems like a strange policy - it is easy to comply with (all I need to do is spend an hour pouring it in), results in useless verbiage (after all, it requires to post and not to be intelligent), and would not stop the cheap bastards...
Hmmm, sounds like a job for me.
Is there a way to judge the kind of people that congregate in a forum? I am looking for people who are interested in performance, not lowest cost, as my product provides that. I am not out to compete with the $3.95 hosting guys - not with VDS technology at least.

I good way of attracting customers is to actively post intelligently on targted forums. I think Sitepoint has a Reseller forum now, I know for a fact that webhostdir certainly does. Allthough this would not allow you to directly advertise, people looking for services in these categories would recognise you as a trusted and informative source of information and it will eventually lead to sales.
I find that there is a good mix of people on both the forums named above but I'm not so sure about freewebspace.net. As the name suggest, it probably isn't a good place for you to post. General webmaster based forums are definitely a good place to tap.

I post intelligently, but it doesn't bring customers. :)
What you probably want to do is be nice, and post intelligently, and maybe even politely kiss some butt. :)
