Can i Install Any control panel on a raq or cant i?

You can install whatever you like, but it might interfere with the RAQs innerworkings, so be careful.
There are a number of RAQ specific control panels that obviously work without screwing anything up. Others, like Webmin (http://www.webmin.com) give you access to very powerful features that the RAQ's GUI hides, but can cause conflicts if you aren't careful.
Others, such as PhpManager (http://www.phpmanager.com) can facilitate accounting and with a bit of tweaking, some user functions.

You should really have a look in the control panel forum where there are a couple of threads with links to a large variety of both commercial and open source alternatives.

If you don't know what you are doing, then I suggest you just stick with and make do with the current ugly raq cp.

You can do anything with the server so if you want something done that the raq cp doesn't do, then ask someone. Someone else is bound to have done it before.

..... and if they're like me, they've probably learnt the hard way... crashed Apache... deleted the wrong file...ahhhh!!!!! :D

I did that too... Eventually had to have the server cleaned for me. Basically re-formatted so I could start again (just like brand new)

Webmin and webcp both works here for us on several raq4 and 4r's just be very +*very*+ carefull what you do. The pizzabox easily "breaks". :angry:
