I am interested in a simple billing solutions. I have been looking at Client Exec. So I need feedback from Client Exec Users.

I am offering web design and then with it clients can choose hosting and domains that I take care of and they dont have to worry about. So I don't need clients to sign up individually for everything.

Essentially, they will email me what they want in a site, I issue a quote and then I want to be able to issue an invoice. And if they choose hosting I want to be able to invoice that as well.

So my question is, can I set up invoices - some one time, and some recurring - and then have the client be able to log in and pay the invoice and/or setup a card so the recurring invoices are charged automatically? I don't need an order form, all the invoices will be generated by me. Is this possible or do you have to use the order form.

How well does Client Exec work with PayPal.

How easy or hard is it to customize the look and feel of Client Exec?

Thanks

Short answers:

You can do everything you asked about.

CE works great with PayPal.

It's not hard at all to customize the look and feel of CE.

I've been using CE for about a year now and I refuse to use anything else. I've used both AWBS and Modernbill also...

HOWEVER, if you are JUST going to be issuing invoices, you might want to look into...

Have you used BlinkSale? Essentially everything in my post is what I will be doing. An important aspect is recurring billing. There are some services that will recurr every month and I don't want my customers to have to log in and redo their CC every month.

Thanks

CE handles recurring credit card billing though authorize.net, such that your clients would not need to log in each month to make payment.

The credit card numbers are stored in a encrypted format and are un-encrypt by the use of a "passphrase" for each recurring payment.
