Does anyone do this? I'm thinking about opening an eNom (actually.. through www.registerydomain.com) reseller account to sell domains through my hosting site.

If I open an eNom account, and then sell domains using revecom.com as the credit card processor.. I'm a little worried about chargebacks.

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of setup? What do you do if someone does a chargeback after registering a domain through you? How often does it happen?

Thanks!

Enom makes you pay the chargebacks anyways so why did you go through revecom.com when they are getting 3.95% on each transaction and also charging you a $1 fee. With Enom you only paid 95 cents and 3%. So what made it worth the $50 to sign up with revecom.com? I did notice the 90 day wait period which I thought sucked. I'm looking at Enom but it does not tell how much it will sell you the domain for so why should I sign up for their service. I read through like 15 pages of stuff most of which is too wordy and technical and still did not find any info on this.

just send enom an email and they will send you their pricing, they may have a valid reason in not openly displaying it, it kind of protects their resellers.

if you decide to use enoms credit card processing facilities, you dont have to worry about credit card chargebacks, you can sit back and relax and just collect your commissions.

I would like to charge for hosting and the domain at the same time. So I would need to use my own cc processor, unless I wanted my customer to go through a payment process twice.. (once for the domain - via the eNom site.. and once for hosting, via my revecom links)

Basically, this is what I want to do:

1. Customer goes to my hosting site.
2. Customer fills out hosting form.. they need a domain.. they go through the domain process and pick one that's available.
3. Customer fills out contact info, for domain registration info, since they chose to get a domain name.
4. Customer pays for purchase. The price includes both hosting and the cost of the domain name for whatever term they selected.
5. Domain registration is sent to eNom and my eNom account is debited for the amount.

Everything is fine and good... but what happens now if my customer decides to do a chargeback on the purchase? The domain would still be registered in their name, and I would be out a lot of money.

Does anyone use revecom/2checkout for doing domain purchasing on their sites?

Thanks!
