Could anyone comment on this:

I read that Geocities limits the number of unique visitors to site. Is it true? Or do they only limit traffic? Is it true only for free hosts? Or for all their hosting options?

Hummm, I don't thinK I ever heard of that. I think it's just traffic.

Been a while since I have heard of them :D they only limit on traffic

After a site transfers X amount a day it turns the page off and shows some ads I think.
