hey,
so i registered 5 domains with godaddy.com, and then somehow surfing through i ended up at 1and1.com

they offer $5.99 per year and godaddy $8.20 something. so i was wondering, is it worth transfering to 1and1 from godaddy?

which is better.

and i did seach the forum, there was a comparison between godaddy and 1and1 hosting.

I would stick to godaddy. We have had a few customers switch from 1and1 and they have had a very difficult time getting their domain name. I am helping one out now and the whois tells me it is registered and I need to go to http://registrar.schlund.info for more information. But when I go there, and try to review the information, it tells me the domain name does not exist

Some opinions on 1and1 here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=440221

You also might try www.Name.com , as they are running a promotion for $5.99 transfers. I like their interface and customer support much better than 1and1... but alas, their renewal fee is $8.99 for subsequent years.

You probably have already found the GoDaddy coupon thread at: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=430251 ... Always go to the last post and work your way back to find valid coupons.

Good Luck! ;)
