I have emailed them 3 times in plain text to the following addresses with a pre sales enq and they have all failed and returned?

- sales@tera-byte.com
- support@tera-byte.com
- noc@tera-byte.com

Ok here is what I want to know, hope someone can help me.. I am about to launch 10 very small sites (about 20 pages each and non database driven.. will probably consume 2gb a month per site) Instead of buying 10 individual hosting accounts I was thinking of getting Tera Bytes virtual account @ $69 a month ( http://tera-byte.com/vir.html )

I dont want to get a deidcated just yet, basically because it costs more and I think it offers alot more than what my requirments are!

Can someone pls give feedback on this virtual package Tera Byte is offering? Is it easy to adminster for a newbie like me?

Thanks in advance guys and this is one great forum! :)

Their after sales response is good to me, especially billing problem, always within 24 hours, so once you got the ticket no., remind them to reply you after some days!

One important thing, don't abuse to send email to every account at tera-byte, e.g. noc@tera-byte.com is only suitable for urgent or network problems, don't expect they will answer your sales inquiries ;)

In general, they are reliable but just remind you, their network ping time these months is a bit slower than before (maybe it's my problem).

Thanks Ckevin, so how can I get through to them as all email attempts have failed.. this is a bad sign but I have heard alot of good things about them so will just hang in there for a little while!

Does anybody have a virtual account with them? I need feedback so come on guys :)

I was looking for webhosting with similar features as you need. I was also considering tera-byte, but later I decided to sign-up to the "Silver" reseller account at ukname.net (I'm not a reseller, but need at least 50 GB bandwidth). The have answered my pre-sale question rather quickly.

In all fairness to Tera Byte, I have emailed them using my hotmail address a few mins ago and instead of seeing a failure notice, I saw a reply within 5 mins of emailing them from their staff (wow talk about a promt reply)!!

I now know they have 5-10 customers per server on this package.. so all I am now waiting for is feedback feom WHT members so I then know what theyre like :)

Thanks

Luks, if you really want to get faster response, try to phone them in office hours, they have real person to answer your call :)

I haven't used their vitrual plans, but rather I have a colo server with them, so just can comment that their connection is stable.

Redirection.net (Tera-byte.com)
A Buyer Beware Story
http://www.veganic.com/redirection.html

I had a similar experience. A Tera-Byte error deleted a few of my accounts. By the way, Tera-Btye has ZERO backups. That is unacceptable for a hosting provider.

There were no apologies from Tera-Byte. They tried to blame me for the error, and when I showed evidence to the contrary, I never heard back from them.

The ping is slow because their server is located at Penang, Malaysia, half globe away from US.
