Does anyone know, for a fact, if I report something to the credit agencies here (USA) on a Canadian customer...will it affect their credit rating in their country? If not, where would I report something like that? We're talking possibly in excess of $6500 with late fees tacked on.

I doubt very much that US Credit Agencies exchange data with Canadian credit agencies.
One of the major canadian credit agencies is Equifax (http://www.equifax.ca) and another is TransUnion Canada (http://www.transunion.ca/).
You can try with one of them but i don't it's going to help.

Hello AH-Tina,
Is it a business or individual and what location (which province)?
The links above are good for checking credit. There is also D&B http://www.dnb.ca/ It is used extensively for businesses, however I think you have to be a member at these agencies in order to report someone.
Do you have a judgement against them? If not, that is the first step. Then you can sell that judgement to someone up here and they can collect. Without a judgement, you are going to have a hard time.

Its a business and I'd rather not say the location.
When you say sell the judgement to "someone up here"...who are you referring to? Any specific collection agency?

That is why I was asking which province. If you have a judgement and you know what bank they use, you will be able to get the money. Is it in Ontario?
