one of my clients just encountered a strange problem. it's strange to me or it can be normal since i didnt know what was happening.
anyway, i added a domain, with "50 megs on home." i added one user and put his limit as 10 megs and made him siteadmin. what i thought was that the 10 meg limit was imposed on his users directory. being he is a siteadmin, he should be able to use the rest of the 40 megs in the /web directory with no problem. what he encounted was that after uploading a bunch of files, i got an email saying he was over quota, 100% of 10 megabytes. I checked his user dir and nothing was there. Everything was in the /web dir. What I concluded was that I should just bump his user quota to the full 50 megs so he can continue.
Is this what's supposed to happen? so let's say i gave him 3 users, 1 being siteadmin. if he assigns each of the other 2 users with 10 mb quota, he should then assign himself the remaining 30 megs right? because if he assigns himself full 50 and uses it all, his other 2 users will have nothing...
