I have heard many people ask how to get listed on dmoz.org . I want to share with you the quickest way to NOT get listed.

I am the editor of one of the web hosting categories and I absolutely refuse to list a site that offers "unlimited" bandwidth. I believe that offering unlimited bandwidth is false advertising and I will not be part of the problem.

The point of this: If you are trying to get listed on dmoz.org do not advertise unlimited bandwidth because some other web hosting editors and myself have agreed to NOT list any that do.

I'll post sites that offer unlimited bandwidth the moment that web hosting companies can get bandwidth for free.

I'm with you all the way, unlimited = false advertising.

I do agree with you on a certain level - unlimited = false.unmetered = true to a certain extent.Do you also not allow sites that say they offer unmetered bandwith? I mean thats telling people straight off that they can use as much as their servers can handle and then its up to people to find out what type of servers they have etc etc..I do not beleive in either but i am not again unmetered if the terms are raised clearly.

tazd9t9 - I don't know why you site hasn't been listed. Keep in mind I am only one editor in the hosting section.

pattox - I personally have a problem with "unmetered" as well. Believe me, if a person starts using 500GB of bandwidth per month you will "meter" that site.
