I'm a webdesign/hosting business looking to go with one of these two. Many of my deals are between $35 & $600, and not always on a monthly basis. I need to be able to take a CC over the phone for an order, and just be able to charge a specific amount to a card.... no receipt etc as I run all that through QuickBooks. I do NOT need recurring billing.... any opinions? Any satisfied/disatisfied customers out there? So far propay seems like a good option, just looking for feedback. Another thing, my clients will ALWAYS be non-frodulant payees... I meet at their place of business to build websites.

Thanks any and all....

Propay has worked well for me. I had no problems at all. I wish other online services worked as slick as this does. It was easy also from the start. I got in while it was free to sign up. But I'd pay for this kind of service anyday. Good luck!

Any other thoughts? Does anyone have a skelital outline of how a business goes about entering Credit Cards into the ProPay system, time for funds to transfer, etc?

I appreciate all your input! Still trying to make a decision.

2Checkout has code you can use for shopping carts and the like.

Typically these types of systems recommend the customer inputs the information and not the merchant.

I know this has been discussed before, so you may want to do a search for it. Basically though with ProPay, you go to a Process Transaction page to enter your customer's credit card information and amount, click submit, and within 10 seconds you get an authorization code.

To get the funds out of ProPay, you just click on a Withdraw Funds page and enter the amount you want. After a .35 fee is deducted, the funds normally appear in your bank account within 2-3 days.

Hope that helps, but again, do a search and you''ll find even more info.
