Hello everyone....

It's been awhile, but I need some input pretty fast.

I had a domain in my enom resellers account, but never put any funds in the account. And my domain only had one day before it expired, so I transfered it to hostway.

Hostway adds one year to the domain, I called enom about adding a year to it. But enom tech said it was pending transfer, and I could not add a year to it. So I ask if it would stop it from transfering, and the tech said no it would not.

I got a email that it was pending transfer, I looked in my enom account today, and it went into my expired domains. And was still pending transfer, the domain showed in my hostway account right away and show a year was added.

I need to know, if the domain will still transfer if I started transfering it a day before it expired or not ?

Or will it need to be reactiveted at enom ?

Normally, I'm doing last minute transfers TO eNom, not away from them. But I believe that the domain name will transfer just fine. And even if the transfer is denied by eNom, they have a 30 day grace period, so you can renew the domain name then with eNom and wait the 45 days until transferring to Hostway (why them? ... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=430012& )

Thanks 4solutions!

I have the .net with hostway, plus it's only $6.95 to transfer and add a year.

And the biggest reason, I would of had to add $100 to my enom resellers account to add a year to it. If enom would of left me, paid retail rate I would of just added a year. But I needed to add $50 to my saving account to use pay pal, so I transfered the domain to hostway.

But then, you had a last minute issue because the domain was expiring (I do that sometimes, too :D ).

For the record, a domain can not expire when in a pending transfer state at the registry.

The domain showed in the expired domains list becuase the website saw that the exp date was previous or equal to the date that the websites database said it expired. That doesnt necessarily mean that the domain is expired, or even at that provider in some cases.
