I know this has probably been discussed a 1000 times but I have basically narrowed my host provider down to 2: MCHost and plashHost.

It seems like they are both good companies that have already been thru the growing pains offer very similiar plans and support. Is there anything anyone can tell me that is different between these 2 companies? I am looking to start small and build up to a dedicated server or a big shared hosting plan (I know SplashHost doesnt offer dedicated servers) so any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I don't have any experience with splashost but my decision to go with MCHost was for 2 key reasons because once you grow out of the reseller plans, you can move to a managed dedicated server with them (moving to by own box soon!!! :D)and they move your clients for you plus they offer reseller plans only, not shared hosting plans. I'm very satisfied with service and support. :) :) They don't have any dedicated prices listed yet at their website but you could try at their forums.

I'm using a friend's account at splash host, helping him etc, and they are great.
Alan is nice and friendly, he is responsive, and his new helper also... well helps :D

I think splash host are going to offer managed dedicated servers soon, but i'm not sure.
Either way splash host is great and alan is a flexible guy.

Me and my friend trust him to give us the best uptime possible, and he didnt let us down yet.

Fast servers on a fast network with good support.

I don't see no cons :)

For their uptime / reliability / friendly support my vote goes with splashhost.com.
