I am just a little bit disappointed by a very poor offer of hsphere resellers. All I have come across at WHT is Jodohost, Vortech Diyhosting and couple of more services. Judging by reviews and comments it seems like if you do not go with Jodohost you are likely to regret it later. Common, where are the other companies? We are in 21st century already, time to wake up!

for some reason hsphere isnt a huge popular thing around here. most people are all over cpanel. I personally use hsphere for my hosting needs and it is really a fantastic product. I know steadfastnetworks uses hsphere as well but I am unsure as to if they offer reseller accounts or not. might want to look them up

You could check out cartikahosting.com the provide excellent Hsphere hosting for resellers.

That's because cPanel is cheaper for most hosts to offer. I fail to see any other reason why Hsphere doesn't get more preference by hosts and clients at WHT. Once a client has used a particular CP they are reluctant to try something new and hence since many have tried cPanel before HSphere, most would prefer cPanel over anything else

True, so maybe HSphere hosts should make a special offer to those who are switching from other control panels.

I've often thought along these same lines - however, free trials are something Im against for various reasons - what other incentive do you feel would entice consumers to try something new?

Truth be told, I have yet to see a reseller come over from cpanel to hsphere and want to go back - so, logic would dictate that if you could entice more to try, they would be equally as impressed and happy....

however, free trials are something Im against for various reasonsMaybe not completely free trials, but something like the offer a certain host used to make at some point in time: first three months for $1. That way you can also run a fraud check. :)

Is there anything better than Jodohost?

Simply put....No.

Not because there is a dearth of hsphere resellers, but rather because they are the best thing going today. If they continue to provide the phenomenal level of service and reliability they've shown me over the past month since signing with them, then we've got a very long run ahead of us...

When companies provide superior service over their competitors, they come out on top; thus Jodohost's continuing success...:gthumb:

cartikahosting.com looks fine but their prices look kind of "to hifgh" for me... But thanks anyway.. Where are the others? Keep rolling in your offers!

Their prices are too high for you? Do you know how much it costs to run a host company? What , you can't afford $10 more a month for your web site? I get so aggravated looking at some of you people asking for web hosting for free basically, not realizing the it actually costs money to do this work and keep your sites up 100.00% like you want.

Time for a reality check around here.

Easy there, JCallas. After all, it's not the customer's fault that the market makes it seem that hosting should be really really cheap. :)

do not get me wrong - I do not want to have anything for free ( never wanted). Just comparing the prices (Jodohost, Reseller-Center, Steadfastnetworks, etc.)..

Hi Janims, thanks for your consideration. We have often worked on refining our packages, however, experience has taught us that we dont want to go much more under a $1/GB relative to where we already sit and we dont want to increase the amount of accounts per server. Our target audience and our existing customer base simply will not accept it.

Thanks again for your feedback and best of luck in your search...

ps - from the hosts you mentioned - (Jodohost, Reseller-Center, Steadfastnetworks, etc.).. - stick with JodoHost :)

CertikaHosting - thank you for a really proffesional reply. Yes, I can understand your strategy about keeping the amount of accounts per server in a reasonable range. That actually explains your pricing policy. From that point of view as long as you really do keep your reseller servers in a "good shape (CPU+RAM resources)" and you do not allow overselling - I must admit - your prices seem to be alright then. Do you offer an end-user support? How many employees do work at your customer support department?

How many employees do work at your customer support department? The better question to ask a host would be how many highly trained techs per customer are available to handle support at any given time? :)

ldcdc, right on. I do not need to know the actual number of employees. In fact I am interested in "how many highly trained techs per customer are available to handle support at any given time" (that's what I meant ;)). Thanks buddy..

Thank you for that statement, as this is our differentiator in the market.

as long as you really do keep your reseller servers in a "good shape (CPU+RAM resources)" and you do not allow overselling

To validate this, you only need to look at our current server loads (peak hours might I add)

web1 - 0.37, 0.24, 0.18 (accepting new accounts)
web2 - 0.66, 0.93, 0.69 (closed to new accounts)
web3 - 0.20, 0.17, 0.16 (accepting new accounts)

We will never have an average load of greater then 1 (and these are all dual xeon boxes) - our pricing model accomodates this strategy - as we are able to maintain low load averages, while still maintaining profitability. Our current customer base and our target customer audience demands these sorts of statistics.

How many employees do work at your customer support department?

Currently we have 4 support & sales representatives (we arent large enough to justify 2 separate departments at this time) and 2 inhouse, cluster administrators - 1 junior, 1 senior (who also handle end user support at times - specifically for our dedicated clients and our h-sphere cluster clients) - our senior cluster admin is simply an hsphere guru. We are one of the few companies that do not rely on psoft for hsphere support and havent had to contact them for anything outside of a few licensing issues since hiring our own internal staff (though, we would have no hesitation in contacting psoft, as they have been very helpful over the last few years :) )
