Sometimes, in dealing with disreputable hosting companies in the U.S., it is advisable to file a complaint with the state attorney's office in the state they are located in. This link contains the addresses of them and is for future reference. May you not need it.

You bet -- and a good idea. Our state's attorney general is hell-on-wheels toward anything related to Internet fraud.

I agree with Duster about the value of State AGs. Most of them have good web pages, BTW. You can find a list of them at http://www.naag.org/about/ag.html. After clicking on the image map, you'll find a profile of the AG you're interested in, and there is usually a link to the AG's home page.
