Hi
I've downloaded a photo viewer (Jalbum) to put on my website but it only reads jpg or gif files. Is there any way I can convert my bmp files?
Thanks for your help!

Of course there is. You could do it simply with paint just open the bmp then save it as a jpg instead.

www.irfanview.com is a free image-type converter that can do this operation for you.

New complication!
I converted my photos to JPG using paint but JAlbum refuses them. Is there a difference between .jpg and .JPG?

you sure you didnt accidentally make them .jpg.bmp? There should be no difference in case. Also, try making it a gif if thats an option in paint, and also try .JPEG

yea, there are 4 endings a jpg could end in... .jpg .JPEG .JPG .jpeg
so just try chaning that... it shouldnt mess with image coruption or any thing... good luck

the best thing to do if you only have a few: paint. i really love that thing, it does everything
so go ahead, open your bmp, then go to save as, roll down the menu, and go to JPEG (*jpg....) the write the name of your file, as save as...easy buisy
