Been with this provider for 30 days, in that time the servers have been down for 12 days total. No kind of tech support that works, after reading the positive reviews here thought it was a good company, but they just took the money and ran.

Are you still with this host? Can you share a site that you have with them?

It seems that this is yet another good example of the famous (or infamous) "what you get is what you paid for"...
I feel sorry for you though. It's not funny when you deal with this type of issues.

Wow! I hope you at least got your money back on the 30th day. I didn't think there were any hosts with such poor reliability these days. Even if the server and all data failed, it could all be replaced in less than a day if not a few hours.

Well that no good at all. Did you get a chance to get you money back from 27hosting?
Make sure in the future that you keep copies of your files on your machine. It can't be stressed enough for users to keep their own backups of their files. Even with the best hosts out there on the market.. hard drives can fail and so can the hosts backup machines. Granted its not likely to happen all at the same time, but it has happened before.
Take the following into account when going to look for your new hosts:
1) Research the host!
2) If they have "unmetered" or "unlimited" for disk space or bandwidth on *any* of their plans.. RUN! Run away quickly.
3) Go read the reviews at places that are unbiased, such as whreviews.com
4) Read the hosts T.O.S. and A.U.P. very carefully.
5) Read reviews posted on WHT by using the search features (its at the top of the page).
Good luck on your future hosting adventures.
