Anyone familiar with Nacio? They have a huge data center about 5 minutes from our offices here in Novato, CA. They offer managed servers and colo. Anyone heard of them? Good or bad experiences?

I also looked at them last year because they are half an hour of driving time from me. Their datacenter is impressive with all the bells and whistles, but the price they quoted me was way too expensive and they were quite inflexible in Mbps and rack space allocation. They also went bankrupt earlier this year, and have been bought by some big investment firm. According to the press release the new owner doesn't plan to change anything in the way things run at the datacenter, nor do they plan to cut the costs or trim the staff. That's what I know about Nacio.

Wow, looks like Nacio hasn't been mentioned on this forum for years. I came across this forum yesterday and I must say, this is a great resource for people who have hosted services. I work for Nacio and just wanted to let everyone know that we are still here in Novato, alive and well. Although we had our problems in the past, we survived and still provide hosting solutions to the Northern Bay Area (and beyond). I'm wondering if anyone here uses our services? Oh well, just wanted to pop in and say hi and I look forward to becoming part of your community. Woohoo, got that first post out of the way!
