Hi

I have read posts about Modernbill and would like to use it.

After several tries, I gave up. Modernbill is quite difficult to install and configure. The interface is also difficult to read and follow.

Can anyone recommend something that's easier to use and better in term of features?

Although modernbill is a little difficult to use at first and has somewhat of a large learning curv, spend a couple days learning it and you will be very happy.

It has been the best so far, that i've seen.

If you are having trouble I know there are companies who will install it for you free of charge and have very good configuration rates. They usually only install for free if you rent it from them though. I used VanHost on this forum for install and configuring of mine. Give him a shout.

What system were you using previously?

I agree with VolkNet, spend some time to learn it and just follow the manual, it can be easy to setup.

I use ClientExec and recommend it. We use the ClientExec support desk feature with great success.

I deal with three vendors who use ModernBill, not a single one of them use the built in support/helpdesk feature, instead they use separate programs. Is it really bad?

CE is also cheaper, by about half. Try it for a month for only something like $12.

Yeah, I will say that we do not use ModernBill's support desk, as it does not fit my companies needs. However, we do use Kayako v3 and once it integrates with ModernBill, it'll be rather nice :)

I agree with the above, Modernbill is a great system but it is a little confusing at first, it does takes a while to get used to. When your used to it, you wonder what you would do without it. Id certainly look into getting modernbill installed by someone as it is a great piece of software.

Yea, I also agree Modernbill could look confusing at the start. Takes some getting used to. But once you learn how to use it and how powerful it could be its worth it.

Modernbill is not just confusing for the Administrator, it's got a learning curve for the clients as well.

As it may be confusing for the clients, you should invest in tutorials... OnlyDemos has tutorials for $20 for a complete set.
