I heard that there are about 300,000 domains being registered every day.
Is that true? Is there a site where I can find stats like that?
(tried google...)

Uh im supprized that they didnt run out of them, i bet about a quater isnt used, another used for spam, a quater of them fail within the first year, and the others succeed.

170000 are registered, but 125000 are deleted, so it's a net gain of like 45000 per day.

Oh, I'm sure it's more like 95% go unused. I, myself have about 130 domains and only 20 or so are used. (not domian squatting or anything, just haven't used them yet)

yeah u would never imagine that many domains get moved about on a daily basis

Yes, many large holders register thousands of names daily, see how well they perform on traffic and if not well they drop them within the 120 hour window that is allowed
