6 hours and counting I've been working on getting my mailbox to work. Here is what I have done:

DNS has resolved and messages are coming in for mail.mydomain.com via SSH the maillog file. Username is set up and so are aliases. (I can access FTP using the same username and password I need for mail) Did the alias fix to catch all w/ "mail." I have the Sendmail SMTP Server Manager relay domains configured. Mail Exchanger (MX) for mail.mydomain.com has been set up in BIND Domain Name Server Manager.

Set up on Outlook Express:

incoming server is a POP3 server
incoming mail (pop3): mail.mydomain.com
outgoing mail (smpt): mail.mydonain.com
account name: username@mydomain.com
password: password (triple checked)

outgoing mail server:
checked "my server requires authentication" using same setting as incoming

Also tried using my ISP outgoing mail server:

incoming server is a POP3 server
incoming mail (pop3): mail.mydomain.com
outgoing mail (smpt): my.ISP.addy
account name: username@mydomain.com
password: password (triple checked)


What am I not tring? Something in the "advanced" tab? Port Numbers? Set at incoming "25" outgoing "110" by default with no boxes selected.

God, this will be the end of me!!! Can someone help?

After not being able to get this to work on my Ensim and saying "screw it" for months, I am finally at the point where I have to get this to work.

Still no fix. I've tried configuring Outlook Express every-which-way and I receive this error message:

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: mail.domain.com, Server: mail.domain.com, Protocol: POP3, Server Response: -ERR Bad login, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92


Any help would be greatly appreciated...
