Does anyone know when netscape and microsoft browsers started supporting http 1.1

I ask since, I am think of changing to a cheaper name based hosting service, and I want to know if it will affect my traffic.

97.2% of my traffic uses Browsers above V3.0, which I think does use http1.1 but I am not sure.

This article (http://www.vpshandbook.net/chapter3/chapter3-3.html) seems to indicate IE 3.0 and Netscape 2.0.
