Can anyone help me with this? When certian users logon for the first time rather than getting the profile dialog, they get this error message:

Can't create your user directory!

I can't seem to find reference to this anywhere. I checked the owership, group, and permissions and I can't see anything obvious. The only clue I have is that the problem is only happing with one domain, the others are fine. From other posts I have read I learned of a possible mail dirctory under sites/sitex?

[root users]# pwd
/home/neomail/users
[root users]# myls
total 25
drwxrwxr-x 25 root root 1024 Apr 6 09:00 ./
drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 1024 Apr 6 09:01 ../
drwxrwx--- 2 root root 1024 Mar 15 14:28 bkerse138/
drwxrwx--- 2 root root 1024 Mar 19 18:47 chile135/
drwxrwx--- 2 root root 1024 Mar 19 18:43 ctayl135/
--trim

And ls from neomail

[root neomail]# myls
total 17
drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 1024 Apr 6 09:04 ./
drwxr-xr-x 18 root root 1024 Mar 3 15:28 ../
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Mar 3 15:28 cgi-bin/
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 710 Feb 7 2001 checklogin.pl*
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 1024 Mar 3 15:28 html/
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Mar 3 15:28 lang/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7889 Nov 6 10:44 neomail.conf

drwxrwxr-x 25 root root 1024 Apr 6 09:00 users/
[root neomail]#

Thanks...

i am having the exact same problem on my RaQ4i. only one domain (so far) is generating the same error message for all users. i have SSL set up on that domain and it is on its own IP address. the same thing happens whether i log in to the https://... address or the http://... address. i don't know if it could be the same thing that happened to me on SquirrelMail but one time while i was logged into my SquirrelMail account my Outlook POP'ed at the same time. this screwed up my user account some how. had to delete and rebuild the user account to get it to work again. let me know if you figure it out. i am equally lost.

i found the problem.......the site had exceeded it's disk limit. once i set the limit higher everthing started to work again.

i found the problem.......the site had exceeded it's disk limit. once i set the limit higher everthing started to work again.

My disk quota for each user is at 50 MB with 1% total usage for each user. So I don't think this is the problem.

Does anyone else have any other ideas? Is anyone out there more familier with the inner workings of Neomail?

Move the .neomail directory to .neomailbak .
Then access neomail, now a new .neomail directory is created.
Copy address and signature from .neomailbak to .neomail .
That will fix the issue.
