Hello,
I used to be a network admin for an ISP where we hosted sites for businesses. That was about 5 years ago. A lot has changed since then with the design of control panes, which it looks like it much better than setting things up manually and giving customers more than just an ip address with a username and pass. Control panels will give them access to everything through one view. Sweet.
I see a few different companies that have packages from Plesk, C-Panel, and Hsphere. Please give me your opinions on which ones offers more features out of the box. This leads me to my next questions.
I am wanting to host sites for people with access databases so I know I will need windows hosting. My question is why would I need linux hosting if I already have windows hosting? What would benifit me as a host if I had both.
The reason I ask is because a lot of people have just linux hosting, and there are a few that have both windows and linux, and even fewer with just windows option. Hsphers seems to be both windows and linux, but the others are either/or.
Any comments would be great.
Mike
