hello!
can anyone suggest a registrar that offers a free pop3 and web-based email? oh yeah for less than $10?

i don't want to go with registerfly.com anymore based on the comments of people here.

i just want to save money renewing my family's domain name.

thank you!!!

I think stargate.com, at 13.95, is the closest you will find to 10.00 that includes POP3 and web mail.

If I am wrong let me know. :)

how is stargate? reliability? support? i want a great support.

by the way, what size is their webmail?

fritz,
RegisterFly is an eNom reseller. Find a different eNom reseller. and get all the same benefits.
I'm currently moving my domains (about 40) away from them because of support issues.

Tip:
Don't wait until the last minute. They probably have a lock on your domain, and will give you the run-around if you ask them to unlock it. I had to go to eNom to get them unlocked. To see if yours is locked, go to www.enom.com and use the 'whois' link. It should tell you if there is a lock. If you need help PM me.

Hi, fritz.

I have registered my domains with registerfly.com and namecheap.com.
Namecheap's support is very good but Registerfly is no good.

I suggest that you regiter your domain with Namecheap($8.88)
and you order hosting service to Cyberwings.com.

Cyberwings has the plan than $4.20 and now there is it during half price sales.
But it will take about one week to set up their service.

my parents need to keep our communication. my parents use web browsers and my sister and i use pop3. they are in a different country than i am. :)

Namecheap is regist only.
You take POP3/web email service than Cyberwings.

Namecheap
domain regist fee :$8.88/year

Cyberwings
Hosting service cost: $4.20(now $2.10)/year
Webspace 15Mb
email account Unlim

Total cost :$10.98/year

I have one account and order two additional accounts to Cyberwings now.

I think that setting processing seems to be late so that an order concentrates on it.
However, if the setup is finished, there is no problem.
I have no problem now.

Unfortunately, I don't know how long special offer term is.

i am currently conversing with namecheap.com.
the support seems fast and friendly.
Rick has been very helpful.

as much as people have advised me to get stargate.com, honestly, i can't afford to spend much.

it was either $10 of stargate and $8.88 of namecheap.com.

at this time that i don't have a hosting package yet. i think the free tools of namecheap have attracted me.

i am thanking those who have helped me decide also those who sent me PMs.

my family thanks you.

I've recently moved several domains from DirectNIC to NameCheap and so far NameCheap has been very good. Also, I just noticed today that NameCheap just added a new feature "Global Modify"...lets you make changes to all or some of your domains at once.

wow thanks!
i am getting more confident to go with namecheap.

before i wanted an icann accredited company but then i realized my family's domain name has been with namezero for two years. and they are not even icann accredited.

so i guess it does NOT matter if they are accredited or not.

thanks again!

fritz,
A name CAN NOT be registered unless it is through an ICANN accredited Registrar. The ones who aren't (NameZero, directnic, registerfly) are resellers for the accredited Registrars. :)
Check the packages carefully. You presently need forwarding also. Some of the cheapo's don't include that, or put BIG banners on your page. Also (as you know) check the bandwidth they give you. Some of these cheap hosting plans could leave you in worse shape.
