Hello,

On Wed, 10 Aug 2005, a cousine helped me to make payment for two domains registration at idotz.net using his paypal account. A week has gone, the two domains have not been registered by Idotz neigther have they acknowledged the receipt of the payment. I have contacted them through their site and sent countless emails to them to lodge my complaint and furnishing them with proof of payment, but non seems to be available to attend to me.

Has any here used them before as I am highly convinced that this site is a fake and highly dubious. Please can any one help me out by telling me how I can get my money back from them? I will highly appreciate your advice and suggestions.

I have not called them. I am based in Africa. I am only considering the cost to make such call because it is expensive. All the complaints I have made using their help desk are closed as soon as I lodged them. It is not that they have not gotten my complaint, they only want to pertuate wickedness. I have even sent a link to this thread to them, which I am sure they got, but they wont say anything.

Localpub, could you or any one suggest to me what else I should do that I have not done? The money is alot to me and I need it back if the domains cant be registered.

I candidly need your support and advice all.

It seems that phone support is your only option to get them to talk. If they are not willing to respond might be a clue that there is something wrong on your side.

btw which African country? I can't see many on Paypal approved countries. If your cousin do trips and got paypal account from another country then sometimes transaction is flagged when done from another country. In this case contact Paypal for 'no services received after transaction'.

Nigeria I think which we all know to be one of the higest countries where fraud originates

When I registered at Idotz.net from Thailand i waited for two days but nothing happened. So I wrote them an email and they replied saying that my IP originates from Thailand while the PayPal account is from Switzerland.

Naturally, I explained why so and a day later my domain was active an useable.

Write them an email explaining that your cousin bought the domains for you, or something of that art.

Other, just cancel the payment and search for an alternative.
