I was working on this for my own hosting site, but I decided I didn't really like it much. So I will see what offers I can get for it. The winner will get the original PSD file also some minor changes this template is better for people who DO know what they are doing in Photoshop, or flash. I had intended in adding flash onto this template for my self.
You can find the template at; www.graphicaledge.com/templates/edgehost/ . Just post the bid in the thread or you can reach me on the following messengers :
AOL/AIM : GraphicalEdge
YAHOO : Graphical_Edge
ICQ : 72251955

Thanks, and good luck.

very nice template. i don't particularly like the metal look towards the bottom, but your header especially is very nice. try adding some fake content to give a bit more of a "this is what it will be like for you" feel.

I have decided to auction this template on EBAY http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2015927616 for all of you interested

Well, what happened? I thought there was already a bid for $55. Why transfer it to Ebay?

This is just my opinion. But, I think you owe it to the guys from WHT who bid for it. You just don't simply transfer it to another website like Ebay. You should finish the bidding here at WHT.

Now, if you are interested to auction something at Ebay, you should have not opened the bid here at WHT in the first place. Although, there is no clear-cut rule on this, but I feel that the right thing to do is to award it to the winning bidder here in WHT and forget about Ebay.

Again, there is no point of arguing about it. This is just my opinion.

Good luck with the business!

:)

I highly doubt that if he recieves a higher bid here, he will stick with ebay on this auction.

I don't know about this one. Generally, if you start it here, it ends here. I suppose if the highest bidder can get it for less on ebay, well then, the bidder got a better deal. I don't like the double bidding aspect of this, and we'll have a decision on this shortly.

Sorry about the potential disrespect, Chicken, but WHT is treated like some posession which you own 100% and control 100%. Users visit this forum to buy and sell, and what designers do with their own work has nothing to do with you.

It's really overstepping your boundaries when you tell people they can't sell their own work wherever they want. Try going to Italy and tell the painters they get one spot and one spot only.

I don't own nor control *any* percent of this forum. I do however try to make sure things offered on the forum are offered in a fair manner. Participants who place ads on this forum are subject to the guidelines here.

I don't know about ebay exactly, and how it works over there, however I am guessing that you can't place auctions for the same item at various auction sites (or forums in this case), and then just take the highest bidder from any of the sites, completely ignoring the winning bidders at the other sites (you won but you lost? eh?)

My guess is that this wouldn't fly at ebay, nor do I feel it is fair here. I don't care where he puts up the auction (here or there), but it shouldn't be at both places, nor do I feel an auction should just be arbitrarily dismissed and tossed up on ebay at the whim of the seller.

Someting doesn't sit well with that. In the past we've actually not allowed ebay auctions to be posted on the forum at all (as you said, it isn't for us to tell you where to post the offer, however, if you posted the offer on ebay, you wouldn't be allowed to post that link on this site). Only recently have we allowed this, but this is an example of why we didn't allow it, and a few problems.

Okay, I've read the rules of conduct but I never remember seeing anything about the forums being a democracy. WHT IS a posession, and Chicken was given a responsibility to "moderate" WHT.

What designers, web hosters or Joe Blow from Ohio does on WHT is very much Chicken's business, if the users want to use this forum to buy, sell or even just chat, they have to follow the rules and guidelines and the beauty of a dictatorship is that the rules and guidelines can be made, whenever and wherever Chicken and the rest of the WHT team want to.

Tell me geiger if Italy was a dictatorship and the King decided that all the painters would get just one spot, what do you think would happen? Just exactly that.

Sorry to get off topic here, but I get so tired of people bitching about what color the sky is. Chicken is probably one of the most impartial mods I've ever seen, and yet VISITORS on this FREE FORUM find something new to whine about every day.

I think (or rather I'm hoping) that geiger possibly misunderstood my post, and that my 2nd explanation expressed my concerns better. We discuss everything, so just because I have a problem with something, it doesn't mean the others will (the power of discussion). I hope this clears things up but feel free to PM or email the mods directly to discuss the matter further.

Hey guys, thanks for all the posts, my intent of putting it on here in the first place was just to sort of get a general feel for the template, if however I did get a fair auction amount I would sell it. I didn't really get it up there very high so I decided to move it to eBay. Before Moving it there I talked to all of the bidders of the template, including RJ who is the highest bidder, he agreed it would be a smart move.

Maybe that can clear up some of the issues?

Again I didn't try to stir up some controversy here.

Best Regards,

Although I took the news gracefully, I would have loved to have purchased the template for $55 or even my final offer of $85.

But I wouldn't agree that using eBay is the smart way to go.

Offers like this I think tend to get lost in with the "100 templates for $20" auctions that over-run eBay.

This "clean" template is good quality! I will still be bidding on ebay on this one.
