I was curious as to whether this would be a bad idea in buying the library (course) from Macromedia; in it, it has lessons on Dreamweaver 4, Flash, Fireworks, FreeHand, etc. As I student I can get the beginning and advance training for 187 bucks and the library is accessible for a year. [Note : I'm a beginner when it comes to web page development. I'm not at the level of "how do you close a window?", but I'm very undereducated when it comes to building a nice site, which is intended for profiting purposes.]
Should I just wing it or save the money? Thanks for any answers.
In my opinion, there are plenty of good, free tutorials online that would help you get started. I'm not saying Macromedia's library isn't any good, as I haven't tried it before. But the best kind of teacher is trial and error.

Yap, apart from flash, I've learnt macromedia and adobe products by opening the software and just play around with it, if unclear, do a search in the web, u'll probably find the answer.
yeah, you guys are right. i'm gonna give my stab at it first and if i still can't get a good enough fill then i'll consider it later.
thanks

Remember to keep trying, if anything have a bash, then do something else for a while and come back to it.
You often think of new ideas when you're thnking about something else, if you keep trying I promise you will become a pro.
I did. ;)
There are a couple of online subscriptions where you can learn a lot of stuff.
I have an account at VTCO: www.vtco.com
There is another at: www.lynda.com
Both cost $25 a month.
