Virtual Dedicated server is a cheap alternative to a real dedicated server. Many Virtual Dedicated Servers share the same hardware (as it is with shared hosting, e.g. memory, cpu and even the hard drive. It also provides a robust security and dedicated daemons, e.g. your own apache web server, ftp, mail server and so on. Currently, only Ensim is capable of providing guaranteed minimum on CPU/RAM as far as I know but it's also the most expensive solution around.... (as far as I know) and it's good because each VDS doesn't interact with other VDS on the system, so if one VDS dies no other VDS are affected.
OK, I know many people hate Ensim because of their rather high pricing. There are alternatives. Check out, openvsd.com, provsd.com.. I heard rumours about another professional VPS from provps group. You may also consider FreeBSD Jail environment - even some comercial VDS/VPS are built using it and working perfect!
VDS=Virtual Dedicated Server, some people call them Virtual Private Server (VPS).
Let me know if you need any further assistance - I am more than glad to assist people who need help.

Thanks for your answer Apollo!
Now i'm trying to use VDS from ispserver.com (at their site you are able to use free testt version for 1 hour or 1 week.) I like it. (root access through SSH, friendly cpanel etc.)
I was not able to try openvsd.com & provsd.com because their web sites wasn't working:(
Where can i try Ensim to compare it with others.
