Is it just me or are others having problems with the godaddy site too?

I have about 50 domains with godaddy. Some for years now. But the registration process get's more unclear and confusing every time I register a new domain:

The pages are huge (file size) and feel very slowly!
I could not check or edit the administrative, technical and billing contact during the purchase of a new domain name.
I could not even enter the name servers! (Seems like this can be done only after the purchase).
I unintentionally selected the two year period. I did not find another way to thange this to one year except to remove the domain name from the chart and start all over!

In the domain manage interface I wanted to check the address of a domain. I had to unlock that domain to see (!) the address.

And it's really frustrating to try how this or that could work when every page loads so slowly.

I'm definitely thinking about moving my domains to a registrar where I could register a new domain within 5 minutes.

I've written a complaint to godaddy but I assume that wont change anything

noox,

You are correct. You really have very little control when you add a domain now. It seems like you have to go back in and edit them after you add domains.
Same is true for the wildwest resellers of course.

Godaddy's site is more confusing than slow.

I've to admit, that I've only ISDN, so only 64kBit/s and I'm from Europe. But usuably I have no problems with websites as they are often compressed and usually not too big in file size.

Godaddy has huge files (e.g. the HTML source of the domain management page is >200kB without images!) And SSL-encryption and decrytion of such huge files is also time consuming.

I haven't used Godaddy in 6 months but from what I remember the control panel was slow and cumbersome. Takes twice as many steps to edit something with GoDaddy then it does eNom.

GoDaddy is cumbersome and the files are large. But the largest benefit that GoDaddy (and WildWest) has over Enom is that they have 24/7 support. You might have to wait on the phone for a few minutes but you will always get help.
Enom still has support only during banking hours. Which means no support at night, weekends, or holidays. Which for a company that big and servicing Internet services is totally unacceptable.

i can't imagine the renewal process at godaddy which makes u feel sick and not renew the domain!

5-7 step pages to checkout?! wow all those ads to make money from any hole possible?
