I was looking for a dedicated server, and found a deal as follows:
P4/1.6GHz with 512MB RAM.
2x40GB 7200 HDD
100GB/transfer per month and $1.00 for exceeding bandwidth.
their data center has mutilple T1 and OC3 connections.
Control panel not included.
$300 set-up
$150/mo
They have a best 24/7support, they answer mails always within few min.
What you guys think? is it a good deal? I am bit worried about the lines(assuming no multihome) and the traffic only 100GB.
Any advice?

I haven't seen "best" 24/7 support. The "best" support shows its true face when messes(such as server being dead, DNS being messed up, hardware failure) are occurred.
Anyway, for that price, you should have SCSI HDDs, not 7200 rpm HDD. Unless the provider uses cogent, 100GB is reasonable, I think.

I mean by the best support is kind of fast and understandable support, They can quickly replace the hardware in case of failure. I know some big hosting companies even take hrs for a reboot request. no need to mention about any hardware replacement.

I do not wish to put the name of the company here, cos they are not announced the price officially yet. another thing is I want to respect their biz. don't want ppl to say they are sucks etc etc, then some others argue they are great etc etc. I all need that the ppls opinion about the price and the hardware/service I get for that.

The reason I asked was because the price is too good - I would be wary of a company offering something that low. Even with Cogent bandwidth, for that kind of hardware you should expect to pay more.
