Hi,
I have an idea regarding adding some "guarranteed Traffic" feature to the hosting packages,
like example you have
Hosting Package A with 100MB space, 5G bandwidth .. etc plus Guarranteed 50 traffics a day.
and Package B with Guarranteed 100 traffics a day and so on.

So they will have an instant traffics when they signup to your hosting service.

What do u think?

What do you exactly mean by:

* traffics a day??

Just my opinion, I wouldn't be interested in something like that. It's hard to say, but how many people pay attention to those pop-ups? I know I don't.

Maybe some paid hosting newbies might go for it?!?

I have pop-up stopper software on my computer.

NEVER...NEVER use pop up ads on your site...it is the #1 way to lose visitors. Period.

Sorry for the very long delay...

The customer site will popup to other site but the customer will not display any popups. because that customer has free traffics..
I know u hate popups, but thats the trend today...

and If popups is the #1 way to lose visitors, yahoo must remove their popups immediately.. but still keeping the popups.. mmm.. why? as long as the popups is not annoying (like multi popups and popup in front), surfers doesn't matter.

"how many people pay attention to those pop-ups? "
20%-40% thats how effective popup ads is. Specially my popup features. ;)

Let say i give you 20,000 visitors a day thru popups and let say only 0.5% signup to your hosting service, thats 100.. I don't think u will hate popups then.

You are not Yahoo. Yahoo can do whatever they want because they are Yahoo.

And:

"20%-40% thats how effective popup ads is."

I would ask you to back up these figures with real data/research, please.

Everytime I see a popup which is closed and then another one ....

My day is completely ruined and i'm clicking on this kind of ads ... once a year or so.

Good luck but i'm thinking also that your figures are not realistic.

Well, if you believe in Yahoo we must believe in our site too, So I can do whatever I want too because I'm Weepee.

I over exagerated the figures... it's actually 15% - 35%
Because we have different style of marketing strategy and target customers, if u want prove, you must try it yourself, then u will know if popup ads is effective to your site.

I don't blame people who doesn't like popups, remember, not every women like short hair men, they don't matter sometimes.

Of course I wish you the best of success with your business plans, but I asked you to back up your figures with data/research. This you couldn't provide unless I tried it myself. So I guess that means that you are basing your numbers on your own experience?

I would then like to ask you: what do you mean by "effective" pop-up ads? Click-through? Or simple that someone notices it?

Yes, based on my experience running popuplinks.com service.

"what do you mean by "effective" pop-up ads? "
not all popups are effective, effective popups have the following feature.
1. Targetted Category
2. popup behind
3. and popup in Full size Window.

But what does it mean when you say "effective"? What kind of interaction with the pop-up is necessary for you to call a pop-up effective?

popups will display your site in thousand of viewers for $2, so example if u have dating site and for 1000 popups, let say only 5% signup to your dating site, thats 50 signup for only $2. Normally they pay 50 cents per signup, so that is $25 compare to $2 popup ads.

But i told u that not every sites are effective in popup ads, those site with poor design and site that required highly targetted visitors.
