Plus, it would be easier if I could export them to linux... anantatman 04-05-2002, 04:56 AM hehe if someone offers IMAP, they should usually give at least that much to each domain. but.. as far as exporting goes, i dont know if there are some programs.. check out http://www.freshmeat.net for some free programs what will your app be in linux? look for a pst to whatever converter within that app agiledesigns 04-05-2002, 04:57 AM The .pst file is a proprietary extension. However, I use Ximian Evolution (much like outlook in linux) for email and I recall reading an article that said you should do the following: Download Netscape Communicator 6.x, import messages to that email client. Then export to a more standardized file format. Then you can import it in linux. Hope this helps anantatman 04-05-2002, 05:04 AM macos X.. hehe all the comforts of unix (apache , mysql, etc.. etc.. ) with a bad a$$ UI, and all the graphics programs needed to do webdev. ? agiledesigns 04-05-2002, 05:35 AM Firstly, you would currently have to buy a mac (i think) which costs much more. I agree with the kick ass ui, but I wonder, can you get tired of it? kmh 04-05-2002, 05:48 AM There's a program out there called out2unix that should work to do what you want, if I remember correctly. kunal 04-05-2002, 05:56 AM Originally posted by kmh There's a program out there called out2unix that should work to do what you want, if I remember correctly. perfect. :) kmh 04-05-2002, 06:06 AM http://developer.berlios.de/project/?group_id=136 anantatman 04-05-2002, 06:22 AM Originally posted by agiledesigns Firstly, you would currently have to buy a mac (i think) which costs much more. I agree with the kick ass ui, but I wonder, can you get tired of it? you can get a mac g4 for 800 bucks at a good computer refurb store.. u cant get tired of this ui.. it just becomes natural after a while.. what tires me is KDE/Gnome/CDE . given they've all come a long way, they still have a long ways to go.. Ximian Gnome is getting just a little better... thankgod that company Easel went out of business and they took over the nautilus explorer. |
