Raq 4r's 450 mhz processor 256 megs of ram dual 20 gig drives and 100 gigs a month in bandwidth for 220.00 a month.
yes folks these are REAL raq 4r's, this is a pilot project only at this time and there are only 150 avaliable and thats all this is a test to verify the validity of the offer (even if i discontinue the offering all customers on the raq 4 plan will keep their pricing plan. we also have a new ip cost online for all those wanting smaller blocks.

The latest offer from 4webspace.com sounds too incredible considering the lowest price for a Cobalt RaQ 4r with 256MB of RAM is about $3,300 (based on price comparison on CNET). 100GB of monthly bandwidth alone is at least $200 each month based on a very optimistic valuation of $2.00 per 1GB.
Unless 4webspace.com is evolving into a non-profit organization, the only way to make post a profit on each server is if each customer is required to sign a 24-36 months contract.
Feedbacks and opinions from any finance folks in this forum are greatly appreciated.

My friend is about to sign up with 4webspace for the US$99/month special but seeing there's a new plan available i better tell him about it :D

150 servers x $220/mo is $33,000 (Enough to pay for a fully saturated T3 and then some - but will these 150 servers use up the T3? My guess is not even close).

Indeed indeed.
Apologies for going a little off topic but what exactly is the difference between Raq4 and Raq4r? I have managed to blow up lots of RAQ3's and 4's is this new Tin much impproved?

yes, but you will need to calculate the cobalt machines costs, basically they are palying the long run game, make little now, do allot later, that's fine, at least you know you are dealing with a company with focus in the future, instead of a quick profit now.
and it's a heck of a deal ;)

I was told by my web host that cobalt is giving away RaQ servers to web hosts. That might be the reason tera-byte can give such low prices.
As for me? I can get a PC 4 times faster then an RaQ for the same price. As for the control panel, http://webmin.com/webmin/ .
Great deal through.

your web host doesnt know what he is talking about or i dont rate high enough with cobalt because they sure dont give them away to me. as far as more power for the same dollar absolutly but that isnt what we are paying for. we are paying for the small package low heat output and most importantly the control panel interface.
