Hey guys -- I don't normally like posts like this, but given the current situation on the board, I thought it would be best to explain (for those who care).

I have unsubscribed from threads on WHT and I am taking a couple of months off (if that's possbile :D).

The reason I am telling everyone this is that I want to be clear that it has nothing to do with the purchase of WHT by RS, or anything else to do with the site.

I have writing commitments through the end of the year. That coupled with the additional responsibilities I have to take on at WorldCom because of the layoffs does not leave a lot of extra time, and WHT takes up an inordinate amount of time.

As always, if anyone needs help with anything feel free to send me an e-mail: allan@allan.org or IM me at: uuallan.

Anyway, save my title for me, I will be back :D. And I sincerely hope that this post does not come across as arrogant or egotistical. I don't pretend to think that my absence will destroy the board or anything like that...but I also don't want anyone to misconstrue it.

PS: I'll be out on the ledge...

That was not a good movie. That was a horrible, disturbing movie. But it was written and directed okay, and the soundtrack was good. :)

Allan, enjoy your break. I should be doing the same thing. I need to spend more of my "spare" time on programming. (But I won't).

I think any movie that can move you, be it joy, fear, suspense or "disturbing", means it was in fact good. he didn't say it was "fun", he said it was "good". It was written and directed well, the actors were good and it disturbed you -- so admit it, you thought it was good! :-)

I bet you'll come back, and it'll be like that movie.. where the people were in a bomb shelter, and came out like 30 years later. :D

That was a movie, right? :crying:

Right?

I'll be hassling you via email still, we aren't finished yet  :stickout

To me a good movie is a movie that I enjoy watching, not one that horrifies me and that I'll never sit through again.

It horrifed me pretty good. So I guess in that case... :)

I've been on a short Sabbatical as well. This post is coming to you from St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. I've been on a crusie for the last week and this has been the first stop with affordable internet access. Talk about addiction... It's beautiful outside on a tropical island and I'm in here posting on WHT! :) Ok.... enough of this... I'm going outside now :D
