After looking another thread here about keeping their private web domain personal info offline, is there another solution? Like does anyone offer services without buying a domain? I know a couple people who wouldn't mind having their own site, but don't want their personal info splashed for all to see. Free sites are okay, but they want to ability to later run forums-lists and trade files.

So my question really is: are there any hosts that do this? That is hosts that offer more than 50mbs and UNLIMITED bandwidth?

So wait, you want some host to offer you UNLIMITED bandwidth to use as a file server? Good luck with that.

I was being sarcastic about the UNLIMITED <-- thus the caps. ;)

Seen some sub domain hosting services that offers 50mb of storage, but if a file is larger than that it's not going to work.

All that I can see is hosts offering services for those with domains, so I'm asking if there's any that offer most of the same services for those not wanting a domain -- they don't want to register for a domain for privacy reasons.

Most hosting packages can go with a domain as well as a sub domain, it's a matter of your choice. If you order an IP-based hosting package, you can access your site by your IP, no need to use domain name.
