Is it legal for me to make money on the net (I'm 13), by ebay or selling templates or that kind of stuff?
I want to know because if so, I can start doing for fun instead of mowing lawns (our lawn mower's a monster) and I need to save up for new comps and stuff liek that.
I know paypal=18 and up, even though I have an account, it's unverified.

Have your Mom or Dad set up a PayPal account and use that.
There aren't many issues if you're only doing a hundred or two a month in business.

There are many underage individuals making money on the net. If a site does not want to deal with underage customers they will have this posted on their site.
Involve your parents in your activities so that you have some backup if there are any issues with paypal, ebay or anyone else.
Enjoy and have a good time at this.

Do I use my parents name?
BUT is it legal for me to make money on the net, or just do it in parents name?

Do it in a parents name to be safe. Just setup a PP account with their info, and use it.. unless you're doing $1k+/mo, PayPal won't look into it.

But, your parents could be held legally responsible for your actions so I encourage you to let them know what you are up to.

Yeah I know, we agreed that before I'd sell/buy anything to confirm it with them.

I strongly recommend you get them to handle the finances and you do the work. If you represent yourself to be of age and you are not the consequences will far outweight the benefits.
If you have a family fried that is an attorney, I would call them and run this buy them. Being Thirteen you are not old enough to sign a legal binding contract (IE... Templates FOR SALE) That would constitute a contract and when money changes hands you will have committed a crime. There is no sugar coating it.
However if your parents handle the finances and you, in effect are working for them them you should be in the clear.
This is not a grey area. It is black and white. Don't do it alone!

Which leads to another question of related topic.
All origional works are granted copyright.
So someone under 18 creates something, and has copyright over it.
If somebody under 18 cannot be bound to a contract, LEGALLY (unless I'm missing something) there is NO way for that individual to transfer that copyright until they are 18.
Your parents couldn't sign it, as it's not their copyright.
You can't sign it, as your not 18.
I guess you may be able to do some form of promisary note, but I'm not sure how well that would go over.
For mass-distributed templates, this is not an issue, as they only get a single-use license, but for custom templates... I know I would want the copyright of a work I had paid for to be created. :)
